I didn’t think I would watch the debate. I get too upset when Obama lies. I keep thinking, how can these people who support him not see his lies? Then I remember, love is blind.
I thought it started a little slow, McCain wasn’t aggressive enough during the economy part of the debate. I thought he should have stated how in 2005 he tried to change Fannie and Freddie Mae, but Dodd would not let it out of committee. But Obama seemed to a an attitude. Not sure how to describe it, but almost cocky. He was attacking on every statement. He had a lot of “I tried to tell them but they didn’t listen” lines. He also said McCain/Bush numerous times. (Michelle Malkin site had a drinking game for every time Obama linked McCain/Bush) But Obama never really said anything. Still the same stump speech he has been giving week after week after 19 months worth of weeks. Still not saying anything.
On the foriegn affairs, McCain won hands down. But when they started on Russia invading Georgia, WOW. The only thing Obama could come back with was, “I agree”. He was in way over his head and could not give an answer back to McCains response. McCain started naming towns, states, names and boy did he know, or at least sounded like he knew, what he was talking about. I loved every word.
