Apparently Nancy Pelosi is not quite sure where Natural Gas comes from.  The day before the DNC, Pelosi went on “Meet the Press” with Tom Brokaw and said,

“I’m, I’m, I’m investing in something I believe in. I believe in natural gas as a clean, cheap alternative to fossil fuels. … These investments in wind, in solar and biofuels and focus on natural gas, these are the real alternatives.”

Now some are arguing that coal is an alternative to fossil fuels and does emit a type of natural gas.  But aren’t they against coal used as fuel also?

There was this statement added after the interview:

“She knows it [natural gas] is a fossil fuel but includes it because compared to other fossil fuels (coal and oil) it burns more cleanly,” said Pelosi’s spokesman, Brendan Daly. “Also, it is plentiful domestically and cheaper.”

Guess my thinking is closer to this headline:  Nancy Pelosi: Ignorant about natural gas.

If this was President Bush making the statement, it would have been all over the MSM.
